Sorry, I forgot to mention that I also saw Mozzer at the start and I also met wrexhamrob as well. So many Fetchies, gotta catch them all!! Yes, Cheeky’s Dad once I get the nutrition thing nailed I will be in a lot better race shape! |

Was the "long" measurement on the metric the same for everyone (more or less)? Think they tweaked the course this time with that little loop at the far end to accommodate the revised finish line, so wonder if something went awry? From looking on the orange running website there didn't seem to be too much wiggle in gps traces that might make that much difference.

Well done Pikelet. I thought you were being pessimistic, you certainly looked good at that stage. Really lovely to run with you too. It gave me a huge lift at the point I was starting to wonder if the wheels were going to fall off

Was just listening to the Running commentary podcast and the penny dropped about the metric marathon - they actually specified it as 26.6km this year not 26.2km, hence the over-distance being recorded by everyone. Easy to overlook and assume it is 26.2km and that it is a typo, but it looks like they've subtlely changed the spec now that the route has been tweaked. |
