Hi Folks,
Trained hard for this years VLM and was aiming for a 3.30! This prediction based on training and a couple of good 20\'s times. It didn\'t happen and so i am now looking for a low key Autumn UK Marathon in which to redeem myself for the poor VLM performance. Can anyone recommend a good one? Thanks.

The only thing I'd say about Chester is that this is only the 2nd year, and it's a totally different course to last year which is presumably what was being reviewed. That's not to say it's bad, just something to bear in mind. It's Liverpools first this year.

You did say you wanted a completely flat marathon with plenty of other runners but with plenty of room to move, didn't you? I can vouch for it, I ran 3.27 there off a 3.47 VLM last year.

DeeGee,
You hit the Nail on the head!
That's exactly what I want.... I managed a very frustrating 3.55 in this years VLM...partly down to my own inexperience, but also as a result of feeling like i was tripping up over the runner in front of me all the time!
Mablethorpe or Chester then! Thanks

Hi Stevierobbo if you are thinking about Mablethorpe TRO Saracen has just posted a link to his blog of the race on the Mablethorpe Marathon thread. Maybe worth a read.
