Baked a banana, honey and chocolate chip loaf today. Didn’t rise brilliantly (maybe because I used runny instead of thick honey?) but tasted great. Husband and son approved and there is now none left 🤣

White rye flour (to my surprise) plus strong white of course - but treacle, coffee, cocoa, carrot, butter and cider vinegar amongst the ingredients. Fennel and caraway seeds also.

My parents came to visit in the garden yesterday. My teen boys were so excited that on Sunday boy2 made fairy cakes and boy3 made choc chip cookies for their grandparents. It was such a lovely afternoon in the sunshine.

That does indeed, I like caraway, OH doesn't, reminds me of holidays in Germany and Austria. I keep forgetting to post in her enow, last bread, funnily anough was spelt/rye, a bit of honey, you made a sponge first (the day before), then added more flours and more yeast prove it twice more, the bake, a bit of a faff, but tasty. No photos, we've eaten it.
