Can't find one, so I thought I would start one, to share ideas, results and recipes....

I do lots of baking but tend to make the same things over and over, however GBBO has inspired me to be more adventurous, so today I am going to try the tear-and-share cheese and onion loaf as made by Jason from the last series preheattheoven.wordpress.com

It doesn't *look* too hard :/

I will report back.

Little Nemo - slow-but-steady
Nice idea, I'm going to try baking bread this weekend.

Good luck :-)

Every now and then - usually a rainy weekend - I like to try out several new (i.e. mad) recipes. Often try to 'healthy them up' compared to the given recipe too. Well a bit: that generally means fruitcake gets extra fruit, but it is still a cake. ;-)

Anyhoo, I have got some recipes that really seemed to work so I'll post em up later.

I've never made mud cake but there is a recipe in the GBBO book which I was looking at last night, might try it, looks yum.

A basic Victoria sponge is easy enough if you follow the recipe.

I go through phases of making cakes and bread with "healthy" ingredients (veg and fruit) this book has lots and they are surprisingly delicious and also a good way of getting extra veg into fussy children.
