The cake halves are now on the cooling rack........cooling Time for a run then when I get back and showered they should be ready for raspberry jam, cream and raspberries adding for a filling. It might have to be a long run to justofy all that

Victoria Sponge is always 8-8-8-4 in our house and it never fails. I use the same for little buns as well.

Keep em covered though Dave. I left a ginger cake out once, forgot to put the net cover thing over it, turned my back and... the cat had nibbled it. At both ends. Little b&*%&d

Chocolate cake in a mug recipe (or better still a basin)
4 tblsp flour 4 tblsp sugar 2 tblsp cocoa 1 egg 3 tblsp milk 3 tblsp oil or soft marg 3 tblsp choc chips dash vanillas essence
combine the dry goods in the basin add the egg and mix welll, add milk and oil and mix again, add choc chips and essence
3 mins in the MW on high
Not as nice as real cake but fills a space, particularly with some icecream and maybe bits of fruit for a pudding.

Not overly convinced with the filling. Could have dpen with slightly thicker jam and a better cream idea than what Jamie Oliver provided just for ease of spreading and neatness, although having tasted a couple of the dips of jam/cream it doesn't taste too bad.
