Blackcurrant jam with roddas clotted cream.

No eggs thanks.. makes them too cakey.

Not had Parkin for years .. used to make with bicarbonate and it would all fizz up

Finished the scones this morning with salted butter and home-made (mother in law’s) blackcurrant jam. So much better than cream and strawberry jam
