Inspired by Bennifer's pics in the gallery, I've just had a look for the DVD on Amazon. From the reviews, it sounds as if it was a programme to lose weight? I don't really need to lose weight, but build up core muscles.
Also, it sounds like there was lots of jumping and quick exercises involved, which, given my knackered ankle and knee, might not be a good idea. Could anyone clarify whether it really is like that? Ta!
(I've never tried an exercise DVD before, am more of a book person, so not really sure of the whole format - but Bennifer, your photos *are* inspiring! :-))

Thanks, KP! I quite like the sound of Pilates, having tried a few classes. Might see if I can find a cheap book instead of a DVD then as really more into books - just thought this particular DVD sounded extremely effective. Sorry for hijacking the shred thread!

Well gang - after last weeks no weight loss I got 2.5lb RESULT last night - so since starting Shred and being fairly good again with food, and instigating my Thurs double run I have lost now 6lb over 3 weeks. I am chuffed with that!
I think what shred does for me is motivate me to improve all round.. progress not perfection as the old saying goes
I will definatley be looking at some of her other DVD's - this one just has an edge as it really easilt fits into what I am doing with my running and doesnt seem to do anythingbut support what I want to do this year, for my off road plans then I need real leg strength and to improve speed i need to drop weight and get some spring in my legs!

FRU- great result, well done you! I have exactly 1 month until holiday (27th Feb) so am absolutely going for it every single day. Level 3 is brilliant but I need heavier weights, am going to order some 1,5kg rather than the 1kg I am using now. Also as soon as the 30 Days are done I shall be moving on to No More Trouble Zones and mixing it all up a bit. I can't wait!

SpicedApple - I have Shred and did it (some of it!) last year. It's definitely a good toner and I don't think especially aimed at weight loss. BUT it's not for you if you have a bad ankle. I sprained my ankle a year ago and it's still weak - there is no way I can shred with it. Far too high impact!
(If you come across a good low impact dvd, please share. I have Rosemary Conley ones from way back when but they are a bit tame really!)
