Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Road runs of 7.1 and 7.2 (Tues and Thurs). Wednesday was 3.1 on the treadmill.

Both road runs were an hour, enough with that.

GG: good luck with the event, sounds very demanding. Also I'll see you over on the retirement thread. We've very similar dates in mind.

Good outings Donnie1.
You're well trained for the escape gg. Hopefully any concerns are mere pre event anxieties. Are you allowed GPS watches for Meriden now? When it began it was maps only I think.
5.2 miles early this morning, wonderfully dry along trails carpeted with fallen leaves...but quite a brisk chilliesh wind. That was just fine when we turned of course!

Sorry to hear about your left plantar problem GG, but well done for your 15.2 miles.

Well done Donnie 1 for your road and treadmill miles.

Well done Steve for this mornings 5.2 miles on trails. You are now above me on the 1000 miles league table.

I ran the Bartley Park parkrun this morning in 29.26, achieving my target of sub 29.30. I was 2nd in the 75-80 AG category to the club's President. This was as expected, as he is an International Duathlon competitor. Thankfully, he seldom runs at Bartley.

I see you (@hillstrider) and @steve45 are both above me on the leaderboard now, I did expect it and said as much earlier in the week.

Well done this week guys, lots of running been happening.

I was out with the club on Tuesday evening for the social run, out early on Thursday and today. I was RD at Parkrun so up and out early, all went well which I'm pleased about. Anyway I crossed the line - 1000 miles done!

Well done @Lesley C, finding time for yourself to get out for a run while having a wee one and achieving 1000 miles is a lot of early mornings and great to have a good partner to help make it happen for you.

Congrats, Lesley, on hitting the milestone.

HS, Steve and FF not far away.

Great running everyone.

GG, I was reading about Meriden after seeing your post. It’s such a great idea. Look forward to hearing how you go.

It’s a long holiday weekend here for Melbourne Cup. So have been busy catching up with friends, and doing a bit of running too. We are making pizza tonight. Have a great Sunday everyone.

What a great park run hs, all down to consistent structured training probably. And the Farmer's Walks of course!
Glad your park run director role went well Lesley and great to see you over the line.
There seems to be plenty of holiday weekends in Oz! A lot of pizza and a bit of running sounds just right!
Another 3.2 miles along trails leaves me with what should be only a ten day period to cross the line. FF and hs should leapfrog me again soon without too much bother 🐸!

Excellent parkrunning hs! An excellent result Congratulations.

Great running too Donnie & Steve on another great month and Lesley for your 1000! Well done. And you’re keeping up FF which is good.

I went shoe shopping yesterday as my trainers were a bit snug wearing double socks which I’ll be doing at Meriden and I will need wider shoes post bunion op too can’t grumble at £25 a pair from inov8 outlet! I hit on lucky the sample size bin was an 8 which is what I was after and have a stretchy fabric top! So comfy I’m tempted to get another pair to live in the loft!

We also had pizza last night I ended off making 7 so a few for the freezer for a cheat pizza night next time. Yeah for a long weekend!

Hope everyone else is going well too.
