Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Steve! Hope you are ok and that you bounce back quickly. Incidentally, Husbando is Steve and I am Toria! I sometime get called Torey (but never Vicky).

Hope you pulled up okay, Steve.

@Fenland Flier that’s good advice. I carry my phone on an arm band - no problem at all. But @steve45 had one better, his wife with him!

10km to work. Another run planned for Friday and Saturday should get me near that line.

I always carry my phone (in a waist pack) and my ICE details. You never know what could happen. This morning I stopped to check out an abandoned car at the side of the road just to make sure nobody was inside. I was also freaked out by a man walking his dog on the back roads, I saw his light but it disappeared and there was a strange orange light on the verge. He had stepped onto the verge for me and the dog had a orange light up collar. Good run otherwise.

Hope you are ok today Steve.

Sounds like a good session there MrHSc.

Steve: hope you're OK, bit unnerving but sounds like no lasting damage.

Off work today and tomorrow and Mrs Donnie is out so time for a longer run at least on one day. Needed with manchster marathon in late April.

Ytd: 149.4

Thanks everyone for wishing me well after my tumble. Very achy/sore hip and shoulder when lying down in bed but otherwise ok to get out and do the usual with no issues. No bruises visible!
What a coincidence Mrsb! Two Victorias and Steves! Torey is torey to some, Vicky to some, Vicks in her gym, Victoria for formality!
Yeah, the cold has an impact when you give effort Lesley and well done on your intervals. You too MrHSc...they are long intervals... what are you training for?
Hope your knee isn't too niggly hs but good that you managed 3.94.
Tempo on the treadmill Peter, you must have your sights on zippier times. Good stuff.
Another good 10k Jack , building up the miles well.
3.62 miles this morning.... yeah... always always carry id and my phone. Cold again, getting fed up with winter now!

MrHSc, well done for your speed session of 4.5 miles, sounds like a toughie!

JackFW, well done for your 10k on the way to work.

Steve, thanks, the knee seems ok this morning.

Sorry to hear that you have an achy/sore hip after yesterdays fall. Was it on tarmac? Well done for this mornings 3.62 miles.

I've decided to take today as a running rest day, but have done a good pace walk to the supermarket and back for newspapers.

I have ICE, in case of emergency, on my garmin watch, and 'what 3 words' on my phone. This is very useful whilst running in the forest, as it would be very difficult in an emergency to describe exactly where you were.

13.1 miles so far this month, just a little bit behind the line 😂
I did 3.8 this morning encouraged by yesterday's 5.5, it's been a while since I've done 2 runs in a week never mind consecutive days. I really enjoyed yesterday's run in the cold, slight breeze and odd light showers so much that I wanted to go out again today. I'm definitely taking a rest day tomorrow.

Great that you're pulling on the trainers FF but more especially enjoying it and not being concerned about further distances each time.

Hope the rest days... hs and FF leave you feeling refreshed and ready to get out again!
Ugh, yes it was tarmac/concrete kerb hs, I was lucky not to fall face down or it would've been nasty. I consciously rolled to the side as I fell.
Brrrr wind this morning but once on the trails it was sheltered and ok. Just 5k with torey. My new Ride15 shoes are nigh on perfect.
