Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Quite a challenge carrying heavy bags hs but it serves you well.
Just completed 100 miles for the month; 4.4 early this morning, conditions were perfect and I went out at 6.05am when it was still dark. I hope FF gets out today because I don't want to pass him tomorrow and then have to catch up with him again 😂.

well done on the 100 steve!

I got up and out this morning, very pleasant but couldnt decide if I needed my jacket or not it was on and off like a yoyo. almost at the 100, I'll get there on the lunch run this afternoon.

Got a lovely pic or two this morning in the park.

Lovely photos GG.

@steve45 I have done as you requested I've been out for a run. 7.8 miles including my October virtual mile attempt. I'm quite pleased with the 7.33 as I've not done a lot of running and certainly no tempo or interval runs. You'll pass me in the next few days along with hillstrider too. I've clocked up just over 20 miles for October so unless I use you 2 as carrots and get to the 1000 first there probably won't be many miles in November either 🤣

Thank goodness FF! And well done on your 7.8 miles as well as the virtual mile, shows really that what you do is quite adequate for what you want and you're in good shape.
Smashing photos gg and thanks for the "well done". The 0.1 at the end this morning was just to make sure I'd passed the 100! You're looking good and ready for Meriden.

And that's another fine session you've pit in today hs. That word "intervals" keeps reminding me that I intend to be doing some of those --albeit on a less intense level than you are doing-- as soon as I've hit the 1000 which should be mid November.

Congratulations Steve, for completing 100 miles this month, and well done for this mornings 4.4 miles.

Thanks for your comments re my Farmers Walking, and today's interval session.

Not far now to the 1000 miles.

Thanks for the lovely photos GG.

Well done FF for your 7.8 miles, including the virtual mile. I hope that Steve and I have helped you to regain your mojo.

This morning was 5 miles, including 5 x 100 metres, 5 x 200 metres with 30 seconds recoveries, and 4 x 400 metres with 60 seconds recoveries on grass. It was quite a competitive session with the Wednesday Group.

My legs currently don't like me, not running has certainly curtailed any 12 milers until I start running regularly and increase the distance slowly.

Well done Steve you’ve done really well to cross the line despite quite a few setbacks.
I’m not sure I’ll make it this year but I’ll keep plugging away.

Congrats on the 100 Steve, as LL said that you have plugged away and not given up shows great resilience and determination - inspiring!

FF when you're ready you'll get there, I have to say since taking the pressure off myself I've not felt as inclined to go out as often or as far, its Meriden that has made me keep going. I am fearful after this that I might slip off the radar, hoping to plug away until the op and use the recovery time as a time to reflect and recharge.

2.5 this morning, another 2 with geordiemum at lunchtime and that will close my month at 105, gutted I didnt get the 100 last month as I should manage the last 2 months and would have given me 24m, why do we get so hung up on arbitrary targets?
