Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Considering I was aiming for 1500 miles initially @geordiegirl and I'm still short of 1000 I'm hardly keeping up but I know what you mean and I have 2 months to get the remaining 38 miles, even if I only manage 20 miles each month like I managed in October.
@steve45 I had considered playing leap frog today and aiming for the 1000 before you and @hillstrider but common sense prevailed today and despite fancying a run I decided to remove the temptation by not running. I'll get there eventually.

There’s a reason you’ve changed target and with your revised plan you’re still doing some running at a level that makes you comfortable and enjoying it. So I’d say you’re keeping up. I admit I’m enjoying the loss of pressure and amazing how much more relaxing time I have and able to do housework and meet up with people. Who knew!

That's good to read GG and I hope you manage to keep the pressure off yourself.

Well done Lesley for being RD at your parkrun, and congratulations for your 1000 miles this year.

JackFW, enjoy the Pizza 🍕

Thanks Steve, I think that the structured training is paying off.

Well done for this mornings 3 2 miles on trails.

Thanks GG. Those trainers were a bargain at £25. I would definitely consider buying another if they are still available. I read somewhere recently that our feet grow bigger when we get older.

FF, there's more to life than running, so just run when you feel like it, and don't worry about pace, targets etc. You've run an amazing mileage over the years, so deserve cutting back.

I ran a solo 8.19 miles in the forest this morning, enjoying the scenery, the wild life etc, and the tranquility, just the occasional runners and dog walkers.

Great photos @hillstrider what a wonderful area to be able to run in.
Thanks for your comment, I've ran over 12.5k miles in the 10 years I've been here and hope to run the same again in time.

FF, I'm glad that you liked the photos. I only run with my phone when I run solo.

I'm sure that you will soon be racking up the miles again.
