Not been on here for AGES. Mainly because I was sulking after having to stop running. Knee had a strop during a long run and I (eventually) had to see a physio. Anyway, I'm back now. Ran Preston Guild Marathon in 4:58:49, very pleased to finish under 5 hours. And no knee trouble so the physio was worth it. Now at 924 miles so 1000 looks very possible. Will enjoy some nice short runs between now and December 31.

Well done twinny! (I've just popped into my back garden to collect a gorilla before someone runs past it to grab it!)

I don't know how you do it! I still don't feel over my half, full and 10 mile month! I guess it wasn't helped by getting 'flu (and now a cold) but I have lost any pretence at being able to run quickly - just not happening!

Well sadly my knee is knackered yet again, tought it was ok and been running well for 2 weeks and back on target but a ten miler on sunday had me in agony. Got physio appointment on friday to get to the bottom of it but realistically my 1000 mile target is not going to happen.

I will however plod on once im allowed to and i may break the 900 mile mark for the first time ever

Sorry to hear it Mr SJ, hope it's not too serious and clears up soon. Best not to rush back! How was the ten miler?

I'm significantly ahead of the curve for the first time this year, so unless my HM in 10 days cripples me then I should technically make it with room to breathe. Of course, the best laid plans...
