I've entered a competition for two places in Manchester - sounds great, but it is a long way away, and I don't fancy a spring marathon due to running on my own in the dark, but if I win a place I'll give it a go. Toying with the idea of Dublin next October at the moment.

Well ive had 2 weeks off to rest my knee and did a 3.5 miler yesterday and it was pain free so hopefully will be able to get out again properly.

As for e 1000 target, ive got 2 months and just under 200 miles to go, a good month for me isusually about 80 miles so hitting 100 miles for 2 months in a row is going to be one hell of a struggle and especially with xmas !! But i'll give it a damn good try !

Ooo Mrs B. Dublin sounds nice! Somewhere to make a trip out of rather than turn up on the day and run!? My plan this week is to establish a non-marathon training regular running pattern after having had 2 pretty easy weeks recovering..but what should "regular" look like? I'm doing the Stockport 10 mile race in December so have something to aim for....

Good to hear ParkHopper, keep on trucking towards that 900 mark. 100 for every year since the bypass :)

Congrats on making it Mrs B!

Mr SJ, I'm in that same boat - have nailed 100 miles for the last few months but my body's paying the price for too much road running at the moment, so to carry on at such a rate will be tough, and 80ish is more likely. Likewise though...going to give it a good go! Final week charge on the cards for us?!

I like the idea of a trip to do a mara! It would probably take me as long to get to Manchester as Dublin, but Dublin sounds more interesting!
