Lisrun 1st of District double, this feels very scary ! *Update* Lovely run and great to see so many Fetchies. Managed to stick to roughly 10 min/miles so very pleased. Cramped a bit and was worried what this would mean for the next day

Velociraptor Ran/walked this as part of the District Double last year, and thought at the time that it would be an ideal PB course. So I'm targeting it for as my main spring marathon, and hoping eL Bee! will pace me :o)
 UPDATE
Not trained properly for this so I'll be more than happy with sub-4. Definitely not planning to chase a PB.
 UPDATE AFTER RACE
I got the marathon experience my training deserved, and considering I ran with an injury it could have been so much worse. wonderfully well-organised and friendly event as always, and an excellent Fetch-fest :o)

tramps District Double : part 1. Judging the right pace will be tricky, but not as tricky as getting out of bed on Monday morning I suspect. It would be nice to finish before the cup final starts.

Capricorn My favourite marathon - doing it for the 3rd time.
*update* unexpected and unintended PB !! The conditions were perfect and the trail very dry (compared to the last 2 years). The hills at the end still hurt as much as before !!

BlueWombat A chilly start gave way to the steady climb to Parsley Hay turnaround and beyond. The final downhills kept me going, plus a conscious attempt to relax my breathing around mile 14 and beyond, mainly driven by a bout of what appeared to be exercise-induced asthma (again). But when my breathing became more relaxed and free I found I was going faster again. Tried to keep the Garmin at an average pace of 7:55 /mile and managed pretty even splits. Will try and analyse exact splits later. Good to see so many familiar faces at the start, along the way, and at the end. A lovely race.

Paulie Fantastic run along the Tissington and High Peak trails with wonderful views of the Derbyshire Dales. There's a gentle incline up until around the 21 mile point, followed by three steep descents. The trill call of a Curlew and the beautiful song of a Willow Warbler made my day complete.
