afreakazoid Gun time. Took about 15 seconds to cross the line and felt a bit congested for the first lap. However, I am glad of this because it meant that I paced well for my target of 3:30. Legs have recovered well (as of Tuesday morning) and I am fit to continue Thames Path Ultra training.

Doonhamer PSUK Marathon Champs. Hopefully i'll be able to get in some better training for this than last few marathons. Depending on how well training goes i may amend my predicted time

UPDATE : With the arrival of my daughter in september and long hours at work i have hardly managed any training, so have decided to revise my target for the race and will be happy now just to get round in one piece

RACE UPDATE: Delighted just to finish and pleasantly suprised with the time. Well done to everyone who raced in miserable conditions.

Jogging Jon Fourth marathon of the year. Second in 5 weeks, just going to do it for fun and to have run an even number of marathons by the years end I have no time goal in mind.

Ran this race for fun, had a great time despite the weather I am sorry to all the runners put off by my chatter.

KinkyS Watch time. Will write a blog later, but in brief, the weather was appalling and the third lap was soooooo tough. Happy with my time given the nature of the course and the conditions on the day.

MadJonny Should be okay for a PB here - and 4-10 is realistic providing nothing goes wrong. I'm aiming to go at 9 minute miles though and see if I can get under 4 hours. UPDATE: Very happy with PB by 16 mins and right on my 4-10 prediction. Realised 9 minute miles were unrealistic early on. Wind and rain were awful on the top of the course on the first 2 laps. Second half of race only 3 mins slower than first half and pleased with consistent pace throughout. Don't think I could have gone any quicker on this course.

racheybabes Due to wedding stuff and courses at work I don't think i'll be able to fit in the training to get a PB; HOWEVER.... I'm looking forward to the race and will have fun no matter what!! UPDATE.......... Totally pleased with my time due to the fact i had a hangover, it was a hilly course, it was dead windy and rainy, and we got the second team prize in the PSUK event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rich963 Apologies to anyone who bet - had an absolute nightmare. Ended up being pleased to beat 4 hours. Was on PB pace after one lap, then had to stop with toilet trouble that lasted the rest of the way.... Conditions pretty rubbish, but think I would have had a chance if I'd been able to absorb any energy today. Meant every bit of support was even more appreciated though!

rosa So Luton returns. I had to drop out at 20 miles last year due to being horribly sick - was on target for around a 3:20ish finish as well. Last marathon at leicester planned to be under 3:15 - over tight achilles and then patheticness over the pain this caused meant my last 7 miles were a rather pathetic hobble. I hadn't planned to aim for a PB at Luton but now really ready to go for it. I know the course, know that it is a bit of a challenge, esp mentally, but really think I have it in me to finish under 3:15 (and then hopefully upgrade my GFA place at London 08 to a championship one!)

EDITED UPDATE!!! Bloody hell I only did it!!! Plus my garmin says it was 26.56 miles. Thanks to everyone that betted on me :)
