Lapsed Athlete DNF ... reached Rowardennan (27.2) miles in 7.50.38 after reaching Drymen in 2.27.24, Conic Hill and every incline afterwards took their toll on my legs and made pulling out the only sensible decision but I will be back next year for another go.

_andy Missed the start of the race (never done that before) and then overtook the entire 7am field of 142 MV40s over the first half mile - great plan, eh?! Maybe pushed too hard during the warm-up to Rowardenan, had a bad patch along Inversnaid section (but managed not to throw up). The last 20 miles were tough (for everyone I think), and keeping going was a struggle. My support crew crashed their car and wrote it off, which wasn't very helpful of them, but no-one injured thank goodness. But it came good and I'm pretty pleased with hitting the main targets (finishing, not getting injured, hitting nine hours). 16th place, 5th MV. An epic & awesome adventure.
