Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

beders very very windy , made it very hard so well pleased to knock nearly 2 minutes off my course PB. felt good all the way, luckily the wind was behind me for the last few miles even if it did have a sting in the tail when you turned directly into the wind for the last 0.75 miles !

podrunner Not done this course before but could be a new pb if it is as flat as i am expecting from the reports i have read. Might still struggle to knock much off my current pb though, it'll be close. OUTCOME - Really tough in the very windy weather. No chance of a new PB, good course and well supported race though.

WorkersPlaytime For the last half mile my running style was just like an Its a Knockout contestant on one of those massive rubber bands. How windy was that?? Great day though. Good to meet up with Sioux and Wrexham Rob. Even JennyJane enjoyed her 2 mile run!

wrexhamrob aiming to be inside the 2hour point, moving back towards my usual 1-50, probably 1hr57 reasonable for this , as its a bit of a comeback race.

XB I set out with a plan to get me to 1:55. I set out well - miles 1 to 3 were just as they should be. Then the wheels came off - a combination of the gusty conditions and the quads still aching from Thursday meant that there was nothing in the tank for miles 4 to 6. After that, it was just a case of hanging on and grinding it out. Thanks to words of encouragement from Fetchies and really supportive locals I managed to get to 12.5 miles with a few walk breaks. I was looking for a flourishing finish - the headwind on the run-in put a stop to that!! On reflection I'm chuffed that I managed to grind out a reasonable time (for me) in those harsh conditions.
As always, it's great to be able to meet new fetchies and say hello again to some familiar faces.
