Hackett From memory really hot day and took it easy as I had done little training. Felt fine finishing and just failed to beat the 50 minutes.

Kimberlina What a badly organised event. Horrible running conditions was far too hot to do anything let alone run!!!. This is the first time I have ever had to take a walk break. Will definitely not do this race next year.

TheBeetroot As everyone else has already said, it was FAR TOO HOT!! so I'm pleased with a PB even if it wasn't quite what I was aiming for. Saw a couple of ambulances despatched with lights and sirens going - hope it was only minor heatstroke and the peeps they were for recovered quickly with cooling/rehydration (the water station and toilet situation was just as we have come to expect from the British 10K i.e. a bit of a nightmare, so I am not surprised that people needed first aid under these conditions).

oprah Way too hot!!! Got a cramp at 5k from drinking too much water, because it was so hot! No more racing in July, unfortunately. Great views of the city, but could have done better if it were cooler.

Lyds Heat was too much for me and coupled with a still sore ankle wasn't expecting to do well. Stopped caring at about 4k and just walked most of it with a few jogs in between so that I could just enjoy it rather than trying to get any kind of decent time.

Cormorant Read a lot of negative publicity for this race - and it is expensive and perhaps too big (half an hour to filter through the start). Just as well it was no later in the day too, but there were plenty of drinks. And what a course - actually saw all those landmarks I don't remember noticing at the FLM.

neems Personal worst for me but didn't expect too much as it was baking - around 32 degrees and not much shade. I had to stop and walk a couple of times.

controversial he he he I had to push hard at the end to achieve my objective (by less than half a second!) but there was way too many people to try to do a decent time. At some point I have to jump over a barrier to find some room to run!

CeeGee This was my 1st 10k and I really wanted to do this in under an hour but it was sooooo hot!!! A bit dissapointed with my time, but still glad I managed to run for the duration!
