simbil, it's amazing how popular the event is. I haven't suffered any crashes on my old MacBook but I think I'm going to turn the graphics down on it to try and help it along a bit (it does run hot!). Getting to the top of AdZ and then it crashing would be very annoying for a Zwift badge and XP hunter like me

Two TdZ stages done today, two more left to do. The second was actually the better of the two, higher watts, interested in the pack for longer, suddenly just lost a little velocity about 3/5 in. I have 3 and 4 left to do I believe. Do the catch ups finish tomorrow or Sunday? I thought it was tomorrow, but on some Zwift pages you can "book" your place on the 21st. |

zwifthacks.com/app/events seems good for checking that Chris. I know what you mean Big-g - last weekend's ride was long enough to have my monitor going into standby and was on wrong wi-fi which made for a very disrupted ride. At least with 4k+ riders in this one, loosing a group shouldn't matter as there will be no shortage of other back wheels to sponge off! |

Yes, that's my thought too, simbil. I'll just try and get in a group of similarly-paced people and if I get dropped from them, there'll be another one nearby. I'm not racing it at all as it'll be a challenge for me to finish it anyway, as it'll be my longest ride yet. For me, just zone 2 at least initially, get in a group on the flat and then just get up AdZ as best I can. That's the plan, anyway! Are you going to bother changing bikes on the off road section? I think I am as I rode the off road circuit yesterday and it's a fair bit quicker on the mountain bike.

Yes, think I will do bike changes if it coincides with a comfort break and will definitely switch to the tarmac pro for AdZ as will be needing all the help I can get by that stage.
