was great to see a whole load of new donors at the session last night - a group from local school - including one girl on her 17th birthday - well done to those guys

Everytime I tried to give blood my iron levels have been under there recommended guidelines. Now that I have stated taking floradix I may try again in a few months. Good luck John

Donated on Weds (11 Feb). That was my 48th "pint", should hit the 50 mark in November. Do they still give the Gold award at a special presentation or through the post?

I try and donate every time then send the letter, but 2 out of 3 times the blood drop refuses to sink! not aneamic but not quite good enough to give! but I keep trying and the rules do change from time to time! in the past my platelet levels were too high and they would not take it but that isn't the problem any more!

Last time my iron levels were too low, I went to a nearby pub and had steak and chips and a pint.
I'm sure my iron was ok after that
