Last went in November at a works event, blood failed to drop, very unuasuall for me normally drops like a stone. Anyway went to Doctors in Dec for some thing else and mentioned his to him, gave me a full medical and took blood samples, found my blood count and iron was very low, put me on 600mg iron per day, and things are looking great, waiting for my results due this Friday.

Last week they rejected me due to iron etc. Mine was 127. Under 135 they turn you away and under 125 they refer you to a doc.

I'm booked in for next Tuesday. Had a blood pressure test yesterday. I was 130/85. The nurse said the 85 was starting to get on the high side!!!! I've got to go back again in a fortnight.
Must get a bit more exercise!!!

is there a certain amount of time you have to wait if you have had a blood tranfusion or are you never allowed to donate?

Well, the form says you can't give blood if you may have received blood since 1/1/1980.
