When did you last give blood?

Girlie Mar 2009 6:28pm, 18 Mar 2009 5,605 posts	0 Girlie This morning. They had run out of keyrings for my blood group so didn't get one:-( Fire bell went off just before I sat on the donation couch, so was lucky I wasn't hooked up, otherwise my donation would have been wasted.

Mind you, the selection of snacks in Daventry is ace, I had a cheesy Tuc biscuit and nearly went back for a mint Club, then I thought that would look a bit piggy, so I didn't (and then I belatedly remembered that I've given up chocolate for Lent anyway!)
bagelFS Mar 2009 5:08pm, 26 Mar 2009 278 posts	0 bagelFS I'm not allowed to (weight restriction). Neither is my brother (he has G6PD deficiency) So, no blood coming from me or my brother. I'd LIKE to give blood though. I did sign up once but got told I'd be turned away.
RichK Apr 2009 6:52pm, 1 Apr 2009 959 posts	0 RichK an hour ago I got a key ring several years ago too . . this time they asked everyone to drink a pint of squash or water before donating, apparently it aids recovery . . so I did :):)

pink-lady-kat Apr 2009 4:45pm, 2 Apr 2009 258 posts	0 pink-lady-kat i have no idea where to go to give blood in the uk i use to do it in canada all the time . it been 4 yr from last tatt and 2 from any piersing so can i give blood i had a blood trans when i was young but i was allowed to give blood in canada
