Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

So far as I can tell, it's confirmation that at least one person has successfully visited the flag and thus confirmed that it's accessible where it is.

Is there a way of seeing previous attempts?

Scroll to the bottom of the relevant page and they're all listed - for example - fetcheveryone.com/ori-course.php?id=53

And does it actually work now for most people?

Not tried since yesterday but it was for me beforehand. Don't know what the issue may have been for you but *now* it should simply be counting all the flags visited AFTER passing the start point and logging 'an attempt' if there are five or more of them.

I've never had a problem, anything that I'd expected to hit, I have.

I believe verified, means you have been at the course point. Click an attempt that has some missed points and you can see which they were.

Success at the first attempt, but my lovely husband made me work hard for this one.

5th finder, though :)

Plonked some flags around the village

It’s long run routing so won’t get to play for a while

Thanks, @Chicken πŸ” :) I shall encourage the buzzy one to create more courses while he's recovering from this morning's run.

Take a weekend bagging other people's routes nearby. Had a lovely day trip to Lymington for a pub crawl course 😁
Its a great excuse to get out & about.

I could do with the Belfast Fetchies getting busy with some route creation in the next couple of weeks. There's one route within a short drive of home that might be getting a visit soon.

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
I had an idea the other day whilst walking with Katie. A lot of Fetch games rely on randomly-placed markers to encourage you to vary your routes - but what if you could design your own virtual orienteering course? Drop a dozen or so virtual flags on the map, and then you've got a challenge for yourself and anyone else who is passing through the area.

I've built some pages that allow you to construct a course:

fetcheveryone.com/ori

There are some notes on that page ...
