Some wonderful running achievements.

It's been a day where possibly a heavy coat was advisable.

It's not all about speed or distance.

I've taken some scones out of the freezer.

I appear to be writing in short sentences.

Are those scones defrosted yet, WW and V'rap? I have scone envy. Not close enough to either of you to come and steal one though, unfortunately. They have homemade scones at the village shop though .....

Really looking forward to my run tomorrow morning - I think I have mojo :) (we need an icon for mojo).

I discovered something unsurprising yesterday. The very colourful (and cheap) running tights (which are currently my favourites because they're beautiful!) purchased in Sainsburys before Christmas are simply not suitable for winter running. My trusty, black Ronhills do a far better job at keeping out the wind, rain and cold. I probably could have worked that out if I hadn't been so distracted by their beauty ;)

Nine weeks to go!

In nine weeks it will be perfect weather for bright but flimsy tights :)

There were still two fruit scones in my kitchen when I went to bed last night. They may have become a wee-raptor's breakfast by now. But I can make more.

My choice of clothing for my run last night reassured me that I'll be OK even if I forget to bring any kit to Draycote and have to race in jeans and a jumper.

I did a half marathon in jeans and pumps one year. I wasn't going to do it and went along to support Alice and BiL. Then. at the last minute, I changed my mind. I didn't have any *support* either. It was a memorable experience :)

SW, you gave me the kick up the moon that I needed and I've been out for a lovely run in winter sunshine with a detour over the fields to up the mileage to 4 and a bit. I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Scones are fantastically defrosted but not yet consumed. They will be snaffled this afternoon.

We parkrunned. It was a struggle.

I've gained 0.3kgs in weight in the last week.

I've just booked and paid for my hotel - does that count as training?

I believe it does HB. There are many elements to achieving your best at sporting events.

Our scones have gone.
