I ease the tedium on the treadmill by catching up on TV programmes that I know Husbando isn’t interested in. Even so, I think I’d struggle with a steady paced run of more than 30 mins. I do like doing speed work though because I just have to set the speed and then keep up!

Looks lovely Peter, I need to go to Orkney again some day.

Well done running on the treadmill, sometimes I wish I had one. Can be much safer than running outside at this time of year.

Still a winter wonderland here, Parkrun was on but boy was it cold. Lots of ice on the river.

So cold! The canal at Frimley Lodge parkrun was frozen. It was minus 7.5 c when I left the house, minus 5 when I got back. My house is cold and draughty - it is 13.8c in the kitchen and 13.7 in the sitting room. I just want to be comfortably warm without being in bed!

Donnie1, well done for your 3 days running on the Dreadmill. I don't know how you do it. I would rather go for a brisk walk, than use a treadmill.

Well done Steve for this mornings 5k on trails.

Well done Peter for your 5.3 icy miles, bringing your total so far this year to 51.5. Very impressive, with great photos.

We did the Brockenhurst parkrun this morning in Wilverley Inclosure, which was frost free. This was probably because it's

about 99% on gravel trails. It was minus 3 degrees which affected my breathing, slowing me down to my slowest time for 12 months.

We only just got there with a few minutes to spare. Several roads were closed for repairs, so thankfully, we had Google maps which took us on an alternative route. This went in the opposite direction, and then looped back, meaning that we approached the venue from the opposite direction. I was glad that I wasn't driving. We stopped at a local cafe on the way back for a coffee and cake.☕️
