Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Could you use it to make a bread pudding lf? Rye bread should make a nice chocolate one.

Lemon drizzle sounds good.

That looks very professional panad.

Could you make breadcrumbs LF & keep them in the freezer? Rye crumbs would be great on a cheesy veg gratin.

Lots of carrots to use up. Might make a cake with the old Cranks recipe which was my standard cake as a student.

Sourdough to go in the oven first. Made with strong Canadian flour, the dough was very light so I’m hopeful it’ll be a good one.

We’ve only got one chocolate brownie and one meringue left so it’s a baking day here. I’m not yet decided what to make. Maybe brownies and a cheesecake.
We still have doughnuts in the freezer, a number of Shrewsbury biscuits and a complete Christmas cake.

We have four of yesterday’s scones in the freezer plus an ever diminishing piece of fruit cake. I’ve a kilo of dried fruit soaking for another one mind

Not got anything planned for today, but have fed starter in preparation for tomorrow’s loaf, pitta breads and homemade ‘grape nuts’ and probably some cakes and/crumble to go in whilst the oven is on as well...

Got fresh gooseberries and elderflowers - any gooseberry cake recommendations? If not I will probably go for crumble (oat&butter topping in this house as I don’t like flour&butter topping)

Second sourdough attempt. I suspect denser than supposed to be but tasty.
