It's an ideal day today, around here anyway, for a virtual mile attempt. Beautiful blue skies and sunny with little to no wind. Get your running shoes on and get yourself out of the door.

Good luck with your attempt whenever you decide to do it.

Well done, FF. Great mile time!

I had my first day of normal running after the marathon last Sunday. I can see myself attempting another fast mile next week and maybe a fast 5k on the final weekend of the month.

My November mile will probably be from last weeks 3 x 1 efforts. 1/2 marathon at beginning of November and.Marathon on 26/11 so can’t see me getting mile.
Quickest mile from efforts 6:17.

Blimey riggys99, a sub 6mm is yours for the taking on a solo mile effort.

Thanks to be honest I was hoping for around 6:13 or quicker as I did 6:13 last month in a 5k. Putting it down to taper time making me a few seconds slower.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
