I know :) Just shows that mileage dues make you faster. In March I was marathon training, no speed work, but I was consistent with my runs. A lesson in there I think :)

Long slow runs are key to faster running imo but I have no idea how that works.

First day of the month, is anyone giving it a go today? We know Bowman likes to leave it to the last minute though.

I'm going to wait until I'm on holiday next week and hopefully find somewhere flat to run.

I'm off to Snowdonia. There's some lovely downhill miles, so long as there's not too many tourists about :)

I did a nice bit of downhill last night and even saw 8.xx on my watch! I do mine somewhere round the 18th/20th-ish.

For the first time in a while I actually have had a go at a mile, albeit not a full hard effort.

Since I found out about Fetch Miles, I had one in mind on my commute home from work, so yesterday I picked up the pace for that section.

Ran a 7.04 as part of my 5 mile commute.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
