Well done @Fenland Flier I was just being a noob and not finding the thread. I going to try and do it monthly. I have a mile course which I will use as it will be good to compare my times. |

7:53 fastest mile at parkrun this morning. Might have another go on Tuesday at just the mile and see if I can improve on that.

Just a mile may be a little faster @WayOfTheDodo, good luck. I'm pleased I tagged you then @falcarius. Short cuts to the virtual mile races are in the sidebar or down below depending on how you're online. Still a few days left for anyone to get a time in or another attempt and before we know it August will be upon us. |

I had a go today. Much better than last time. 1.5 mile jig jogvwarm up, sane starting blocks as last time, namely the second bridge over the canal. Not windy, felt better. When my watch beeped it flashed up 8.48. I had a walk, jogged home. Saved my runFarmi says new fastest mile, 8 mins 45.7. Just checked, Feb's time was 8.48 too. I think I might declare 8.46

Thanks. Shame my typing was so bad :-). The whole thing felt better. I also made some mental notes of where I am in the mile if I start in the same spot.

Had a go last night. Waited until 8 pm to let it cool down, or at least not be blazing sunshine. Thought I'd given it my best shot but was disappointed to see a time of 8:35 when I did 7:58 in the club mile a couple of weeks ago.

Some days are like that @westmoors, you think you've done well and it was pants but it also works the other way too on occasions, good luck for August. Well done @Derby Tup, it's good you're back running again. |
