From my marshalling point I only managed to see Contro and two other Fetchies I didn’t recognise - one in a green/black chevron shirt and one in red who heard me shouting ‘Go Fetchie!’ and waved. Looked particularly for Jock, Vrap and .B. but managed to miss them all!

Hope everyone had a great run.

Sorry, managed to miss most folks and we weren’t hugely visible so those we did yell at couldn’t see us :(
Will be organised to do better next year

Thanks swittle. Bit of a conscious slowing towards the end but really happy with the execution. Wouldnt do anything differently.

Given his avatar, the green/black chevron shirt suggests it could have been 3M ?

Sounds like 3M - we managed to miss him both ways despite looking out for that shirt

And there was me thinking that shirt was unmissable! 🤣🤣🤣
But thanks for the shouts and support anyway!

And I did meet Foxy!
I'm all done and glad it's over now. The death march did indeed start at about 20 miles!

There were far fewer 'Virtuallers' out in Exmouth this morning compared to the last time. Luckily I'd remembered my Aeropex this time so listened to the radio but it was definitely lonelier today. Maybe the moment for virtuals has passed.
My interest in running a marathon has definitely passed ;-)

I appreciated the fetch point, and thank you for keeping hubby company!

About This Thread

Maintained by Kirsty
After getting lucky in the ballot yesterday, I couldn’t find a thread, so thought I’d start one. Bit of background: I ran 7 marathons (2 London, 2002 and 2006) between 2002 and 2016, fastest 4:06, slowest 5:09. Major health issues in 2017 and 2019 and I felt that my marathon days were over, but I kept entering the ballot, safe in the knowledge I wouldn’t get in - and now I have! I am probably looking at walking the whole way, or possibly jeffing. I’m very excited and very nervous!
