Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

If you will still be running at 3pm it looks like it is possible to turn the emergency alert off- gov.uk

There'll be plenty still running at 3pm, it's almost worth being there to spectate as they all get the warning at the same time, plus all the spectators!

(and I say "they" - I could be still out there if things don't go to plan!)

Kipchoge is in town on Saturday, keep an eye out for him making an appearance to give out medals on marathon day! (he has done it before!)

Based on previous years, we'll still be out cheering at 3pm!

Be careful with virtual and physical cards. If the same bank card is linked to your Apple Pay it doesn’t work. I found this out the hard way.

Red start definitely accessible from Blackheath, it’s just a slightly longer walk. Go past on the left hand side of the blue start and head towards Greenwich Park. You may be ushered further left and into the park via a side entrance.

I’ll be marshalling start pens on the blue start. Will be wearing a Fetch buff and may very well have a megaphone :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by Kirsty
After getting lucky in the ballot yesterday, I couldn’t find a thread, so thought I’d start one. Bit of background: I ran 7 marathons (2 London, 2002 and 2006) between 2002 and 2016, fastest 4:06, slowest 5:09. Major health issues in 2017 and 2019 and I felt that my marathon days were over, but I kept entering the ballot, safe in the knowledge I wouldn’t get in - and now I have! I am probably looking at walking the whole way, or possibly jeffing. I’m very excited and very nervous!
