Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Although the Met Office forecast has a lower chance of rain, which I'd prefer. :-)

I don't like rain.

Hoping it's dry at least even if my chances of the dream hot/sunny one have receded.....

Spectating isn’t so much fun in the rain , dry and cool would be nice for both side of the fence

True, I'm ambivalent about the rain but dry would be preferable. I might even have to resort to some protection "up top" as I only ever experience mild chafing up there if my running top gets wet.

For those who care about such things the medal design has been revealed. I think it’s lush! I believe it’s very similar to last year but I didn’t do it so doesn’t bother me!

That's a classy medal :)

The FLM medals we have from the noughties are all much the same as one another, this is very different from all of them.

They seem to recycle the same design a few times in different colour metals before they change it.

Some people on social media getting in a panic over cut off times because of this sloppy journalism 🙄

Erk! It’s 7 hours from the last starter isn’t it? Every chance I’ll still be on the course at 4:30pm!

(Answered my own question- it’s from when the last person starts at 11:30, and it’s 8 hours. Very sloppy journalism!)

About This Thread

Maintained by Kirsty
After getting lucky in the ballot yesterday, I couldn’t find a thread, so thought I’d start one. Bit of background: I ran 7 marathons (2 London, 2002 and 2006) between 2002 and 2016, fastest 4:06, slowest 5:09. Major health issues in 2017 and 2019 and I felt that my marathon days were over, but I kept entering the ballot, safe in the knowledge I wouldn’t get in - and now I have! I am probably looking at walking the whole way, or possibly jeffing. I’m very excited and very nervous!
