Right back to Long Eaton tomorrow. The flood has subsided so it’s on the all tarmac, pancake flat, super quick course. Hell, they’ve even laid on a rather handy 18 min pacer. I’d better not balls this one up
Best of luck SPR, smash the 15 and then “enjoy” the 5000

17:45 for me this morning so well chuffed. Had a personal 18 minute pacer who clearly didn’t want to leave anything to chance so went through halfway in 8:55 and dragged me round the second lap with lots of encouragement, clearing the lapped runners out of the way while making it look disgustingly easy. Everyone else fell off the back so I felt obliged to stick with him which was great motivation when it got painful. Splits of 5:43, 5:37, 5:50 and mustered a 4:58 finish which resulted in being sick in the bushes afterwards.
Was very happy to think that I’d not have to dig that deep again for a while, until I remembered that it’s the track County Champs 5000m next weekend

Nice work Uyuni and congratulations.
I know what you mean about not wanting to dig that deep for awhile. An easy upcoming week should see you right for next weekend though.
