Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ooops, unless you were making iced tea, though lemon is usually used then... ;)

I don't use tea bags often at home, but have run out of loose leaf.
I should, however, know that the tea bag goes in the mug and not the kettle

Couldn’t understand why the butterfly fastener on the back of my earring wouldn’t move closer to my ear. Then couldn’t understand why the earring wouldn’t come out of my ear lobe. Discovered I’d been trying to put a second fastener behind one that was already there.

Found a cup of coffee in the stove top this morning I must have made yesterday. Mum wondered why I’d not made her a brew. Technically I had.

This morning I loaded the one-cup filter machine with coffee and water, switched it on, and left the room on another errand. When I returned I discovered that I'd forgotten to put the cup in place and there was coffee all over the worktop.

[The drip tray of our nespresso machine has a one cup capacity for that very eventuality - as I know from multiple experience]

About This Thread

This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
