Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Changed the bed linen. Had two pillows and two pillow cases. But when I went to bed only one pillow had a pillow case on.. I'd put both in the same pillow !

Cooked dinner last night: two different dishes of toad in the hole because OH like big sausages and daughter likes chipolatas.

If only I’d remembered to put my own vegetarian food in as well.

Oh well, mash & veg & onion gravy was very nice.

I have a paper shopping bag under the dressing table for laundry (one of those sturdy bags, this is a nice one from Selfridges). I chuck my pants in them at the end of the day. The bag is next to the bin. Nearly lost a nice pair of beige granny pants the other day.

Almost a senior moment earlier. Cut the hair in front of my ears yesterday (not sideburns - just hair getting too long) and this morning thought I had missed a bit that looked longer than the rest. Didn't have my reading glasses on and realised just in time that the 'hair' was in fact, the very tiny tube of my hearing aid.

Both my partner and I had a senior moment. I made for dinner some macaroni cheese and roast potato wedges. This is one of SO's favourites. I wasn't as good as usual but we both enjoyed it. I could taste my secret ingredients a bit too clearly: nip of chilli, nip of asafoetida and half tsp mustard powder, which help the cheese flavour.

Hours later she found all of the cheese still inside the pyramid cheese grater, never added. I suppose I discovered a palatable vegan macaroni cheese!

That's a special on SteveC ! :)

I've just had to make a second pot of decaff Earl Grey - not only did I put milk in (yeuch to milk in EG), I put it in the teapot instead of my mug

About This Thread

This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
