Good luck els!

Local parkrun here as needed to get back by 10. Wasn't feeling like running, and had to have 3 walking breaks as my back was hurting, so a little surprised by a 1 second course pb! Ankle and back still a bit sore, not sure what to do about my long run tomorrow....

Tine that's a pain but like you say maybe good for your bike training.

Rfj good work trying to lose that pizza!

Ahead of 2nd FV60 by 32s so could be nail biting finish!

Come on @ElspethF! Sprint finish? Early start this morning and great support by @PeterFay .

No parkruns in Switzerland either @tinebeest . Would maybe make it easier to do a hard 5k like I was trying to do solo this morning. (failed). Well done on your long run! Waiting for the train is something I regularly have to do! Not on bike commutes but often enough on runs. Good excuse for a breather.

If you get bored I have plenty of gardening to do too @Rosehip .

What: botched attempt at a hard 5k (was looking for around 23 mins). 4k warm-up then set off too quick likely (nothing new) and blew up half-way. Too hot. After some swearing and trotting I did at least do another 1.xk at effort.
Why: good question - shouldn't have tried that this morning or gone out earlier!

Elspeth now left to start Devil of Highlands at 6. I will catch bus to Bridge of Orchy later (8:23) and run 7 miles back to Tyndrum. Stopped raining meantime. I will pick Elspeth up later today, hopefully from Fort William (cut off 6pm).
