Back to the Tories scraping the barrel: I’m seeing official Conservative Party adverts on Facebook saying “Sadiq Khan wants to divide us. Then there will be no one left to stand up to him on our behalf. Sadiq Khan needs you to vote Reform. If Labour win every seat in London we’ll be left with no voice”

I’ve got myself a ban on X, not sure for how long. Posted to a Conservative Party tweet. Your party is an abomination. You’ve gone through leaders. You’re rotten to the core. You’re on your way out. Die gracefully. I think they’ve taken the die gracefully as some kind of threat. Rather than a polite request. |

Cheg I think the course of direction the Tories have taken they have done it to themselves. The lurch to the right was such a stupid idea, makes you think who do they hire as advisors? Probably a clear run for Labour for at least 2 or not 3 elections. |

I’m old enough to remember when Labour was finished for a generation. If a week is a long time, 5 years is an eternity in politics. Back in 2019, over 80% of the population voted for pro-brexit parties. This time, it may be down to 79% if we’re lucky. |

Yep. The Tories main problem is Faragé. And throw approach up him. In an attempt to appease idiots who support his views they've let him drag them into the mire, since Cameron they're leaders have become increasingly bat shit, useless or both. What they should have done, is tell Faragé leaners to fuck off and try to gather support from the centre instead of letting all the hate and rage that the Brexit campaign has stirred up run free. |

Thankfully they didn’t and they are now due the tremendous kicking that they are going to get from the electorate.

I do think that Labour will struggle with the mess we are in and the Tories may well get back in again in 2029 if they manage to sort themselves out and get a decent leader. Two big ifs though.

That is one of the issues with a new government. You need to manage what you inherit before being able to change
