I wondered who’d backed me. It was a warm morning (I ran in a vest and was too hot for the last 15 laps or so). I was curious if I could get round in under 30 mins and actually wore a watch, which is incredibly rare for me

Just been reading back

BexleyKev - do you have a source for that note about the National Trust? Reason for asking is that ours is one of the NT based parkruns. If I squint through some rose coloured glasses, I can almost see 'third party events' being restricted to the larger set pieces delivered by commercial organisation whereas parkrun, or similar community group delivered activities, may not be included.

Our ED is a regular volunteer at the site so he may be in a position to find out a little more - even if that means cutting away the straws of hope I'm clinging to :)

Thanks

Brilliant - thanks Kev :)

We're all good - hope you can say the same

I'll do a bit of digging (or, rather, get someone else to do a bit of digging) to see if we can find out whether that's a local or national policy. I have a further interest as some of the other events I'm involved with up here also cross NT land.

Fastest fakeparkrun of the year today with 20.46 in the middle of my 14K inc. 8.1K at Tempo. The 8.1K was part of a 4 person age-grade metric marathon club challenge.

Funny how I can't run that fast on a Saturday but managed it as part of 14K!
