Went out for a longer run than normal for a Saturday this morning (7.15 mile / 945 ft climb). Talk of doing a Fakey later as a recovery jog :-O

Had a total garmin disaster for my 1st mile as there is no way even walking it all (which I didn’t ) I wouldn’t take 17 minutes to walk and then did a 9.58 and a 9.29 but never mind a 38.23 being tail walker in the sunshine wasn’t too bad on the glute.

Ran what I’ve now segmented on strava as an good 5k as a 3 & 3/4 loop round local lakegrounds.

A new 5k pb so clearly lockdown with an Easter egg & beer diet is working well for me!

A PB on my fake parkrun today, same route again for the third week. I think the reduced heat and pollen count has helped somewhat today though rather than anything I've done since last weekend - unless eating chocolate and bakewell tarts is classed as training 🙂

Lovely early fake parkrun yesterday, and took another 10 seconds or thereabouts off my time for the course. The course is never quite the same, but it’s still another course record. If I can do it again next week, it’ll be three in a row. Hmm. :-)

My fake parkrun was in the middle of an 11 mile run, beautiful countryside and glorious weather :-)

Back garden fake parkrun this time - brisk walked for the first half though. 250 laps. TBH the Garmin trace looks so weird I wonder if the measurement was accurate. I do wonder this about back-garden running - can the GPS be accurate at such a small variation in position?

actually 125 laps. 250 x 20 metres.
