Yes I'm watching the wind speed forecasts carefully - a fair few big trees on our route :-(

Pacing day tomorrow - plus 28 kmph winds, 95% chance rain, some rugby match. I wonder how many takers i'll have for 27 minutes?

Beeston parkrun got a mention on the freeweeklytimed podcast for the second successive week - after runners with the surname Beeston in 1, 2, 6, 34 and 150 last week, this week got a mention for our three runners doing their 200th parkrun with a combined age of 200..about 17 mins in. freeweeklytimed.com

There will be plenty of Scottish parkrunners watching rugby (especially given the weather forecast) Zorba. In their rainbow gear. #ABE ;-)

Or just enjoying a great RWC final between two excellent and very deserving teams, and *not* against England in any way! No parkrun for me (and I'm Scottish in Scotland!) :-) G

I shall be tail walking with my little England mascot, because it's the closest parkrun to Hallowe'en and there's nothing creepier than someone with a Scottish accent openly supporting England.

Crane parkrun cancelled (not my call). I had volunteered as RD as everyone else wanted to watch the game, but not enough volunteers. We could have done it, we used to run the event with 3-4 volunteers, but nowadays that's not thought to be enough.

To be honest, given the forecast and the rugby I was expecting numbers down in the region of when we started off anyway (ie 30-40). I think we would have been fine.
