That explains why I've not heard of it. I'm a bit of a dino and only have a dumb phone on pay as you go because I hardly make calls/texts.

I don’t like WhatsApp as you can’t use it on a tablet, unless they’ve changed that since I last looked?

nope, WhatsApp on a tablet sucks. There is a theoretical way you can get it to work, but it always breaks for me.

So the ED Slack channel is regional.

Which means that, due to the sterling work of Edward Heath in the 1970s, three Lincolnshire EDs who have enjoyed years of cross-collaboration with the other events in the historic county of Lincolnshire have now been cut off from their hinterland and forced to join in with Wakefield and Catterick instead.

They've already started discussing having a white rose as an avatar for the whole group...!

yep, it's a bit of a mess. I think they need to change it if they want people to use Slack for the event to event comms. There is an unofficial FB ED group now and many will just continue to use that I think. I guess you need to look at what works for you and people you need to speak to and just pick a platform that works be that Slack, FB, WhatsApp etc.

The core team that I'm part of uses WhatsApp and I often feel excluded as I don't have access to it ..
