About 500 runners I think. If you’ve got transport then Fountains Abbey is worth the trip, but check the page carefully, you need to be there early (parked by 8.40, top gate closes at 8.50).

Cannot say I enjoyed running around what is effectively a big grass field at Harrogate that much but clearly over 400 souls don't mind it too much.

But it’s is essentially a square you go round three times. Though at the moment Yorkshire Water are digging up The Stray so the course is slightly more interesting, but much less picturesque!
