Leamington won't be muddy unless we get loads of rain this week, DG. We use the football pavilion so there are showers and changing rooms available too.

Thanks, that's worth a look. We'll be taking kit, but as parkrun is entirely ancillary to the reason for the trip which/whether/where we go will depend on what time we get up and how good breakfast at the hotel is.

Thanks DeeGee. I had some confusion / distrust in my head between your real name and your fetch name, despite knowing both. I knew *you* were the fetchie in the area I was thinking of though...

Scunny we've done before (I think) (pre-kids), but is a bit out of the way, as we're coming up from Saltfleet...

I encountered the blue tokens at Harrogate for the first time last week. Is everywhere changing over? (I’m a bit out of the parkrun loop). Also the first time getting barcode scanned by the app, and the scanner said she thought it worked better than the scanners and also scanned barcodes on phone screens.

i think when it's time to renew, then it's blue ones you get Meg.... thankfully not mandatory!

I agree tho, the app works well
and you can see, there's no doubting you've done it

The first time I encountered the app in use I just presumed the team took photos of the barcodes as some sort of backup, so ended up being scanned by the app and then scanned by the "normal" scanners. One reason why it always seems to make sense to me for the scanner to physically take the position barcode from me, rather than leave it to me to return somewhere else.

Love the apps from an RD point of view. Downloads are about 100% easier!

Spot of tourism for me at the weekend - was at a breezy Thurso on Saturday. A spot of tourism for my nephew also - he was first finisher in Paris parkrun.

DM, Harrogate is nice when the ground is dry, which is probably the case now. 3 flat laps of half grass/dirt half tarmac, wide enough for mostly easy overtaking. Quickest course of my usual haunts, you can park locally and it's not too far to walk into town afterwards. I'll be there not this weekend but probably next.
