Well pbed, Teddy. I got a course best at Ruchill yesterday and it was encouraging to see higher numbers (second highest after the inaugural, 90), largely thanks to a running group from the Sooside visiting. Hopefully the world will get around that it's perfectly safe to come north or the canal.

I saw that the park has also sprouted disc golf posts, so bring your Frisbees :-).

I would need 5 plastic tags for my shoes as I have 3 pairs of road shoes and 2 pairs of trail shoes! However, I do have my paper barcodes laminated and have them in various places: my car, OH car, caravan, purse, running belt and one that I keep with my Garmin! Think I have all bases covered ;-)

i have several paper laminated barcodes, one (or 2) in each car for each member of the family! but i have to make a real effort to remember to take a barcode if i run to the parkrun. i really hope one day there will be a scanner that can scan a code on my phone

I see quite a few people keep a paper barcode inside their phone case.

I have a pr wrist band which I wear for all runs with ICE on it, but just in case I do have a spare printed one in the car.

I've been quietly pleased that I've been able to balance on one leg at the end of a 5km run to have the tag scanned 😊

It's good that you make the effort - when I've been on Barcode Scanning some people haven't even met me halfway. :(

I have a wrist band bar code which I keep attached to my Garmin which in turn is looped around an arm strap (where I keep my car key) which is hung on the coat hanger which my running jacket is hung on. To forget my bar code would mean I’ve forgotten a lot more besides.

Just booked Berlin parkrun for 31 March. Very excited, as its the first overseas one I'll have done. Roll on Easter. :)
