57.5 Degrees of Pain
I went to Vogrie which was a very pleasant off road course. A barcode located pretty much anywhere below my waist would have been seriously muddy, and when I got scanned there was quite a bit of faffage as the other scanner tried to get a read on a shoe mounted tag.

Mrs CA and I will be parkrun tourists this week. We’re dropping our daughter off at Heathrow (long story – don’t go there) on Friday evening then stopping over and parkrunning before we head back to civilisation ;). From where we’re staying the closest and most easily accessed parkrun is Osterley so that seems the obvious choice BUT – Mrs CA isn’t a fan of mud and it looks like half of the Osterley route is on grass which is likely to be wet at this time of year. Anybody know if that’s a correct interpretation and, if so, how mucky it is at present?
The obvious alternative is North Alla fields. Is that going to be any drier and, apart from the opportunity to collect a LindsD sticker, are there any other reasons why it would be a better bet?
Thanks for any advice.

It will be 100% dry as it's all on paths.
Haven't done Osterley, I'm afraid. It's my NENYD.

If you're staying close to Heathrow or dropping off and then going running, Upton Court is closest to the airport in terms of journey time and was pretty dry on Saturday.

Bedfont is NEXT to the airport, so I will have none of the closest in Slough nonsense But it is trail so puddles. We call it the Bedfont tan
Northala is difficult to get back from traffic wise so bear that in mind, it is fast though and all tarmac.
Osterley is muddy, has a lovely NT house though.
And if you are going to travel to Slough - skip Upton and head to Black park which is gloriously beautiful.

Black Park is beautiful.
Is the traffic that bad around Northala? Going where? Perhaps I'm just used to it.
(and if you've done Northala why haven't I met you? ;))

I think I did the first one at Northala...
Traffic is always bad going back towards the A30/A4 (and thus the airport) from there - the road is called the Parkway.
