Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Although Upton Court has it's own castle (nb, the castle actually belong to the queen apparently)...
All personal choice anyway. I do my best to avoid larger runs if I can these days and if I'm not at Upton Court this weekend (RD last weekend), I might go to Cranleigh. Prefer Upton Court to Black Park because it just feels easier to get to know people.

from memory Cranleigh is all grass up a hill down a hill up a hill down a hill a short flat piece, repeat.

re Osterley was dry when I ran it but would imagine the unmade potholed road at the back becomes very wet, and the run through the trees, and across the field gets muddy.

Obviously there are wonderful people at Northala;-), it is tarmac and quick although I think Crane park could also be quick, and also has some wonderful people.

Never had a problem getting out of Northala back towards the M3

Thanks folks - some useful local knowledge in those responses.

Thinking (mine) at present based on where we're staying is Bedfont Lakes - it's easier to get to than I had thought, avoids the likely muddy grass at Osterley and Upton Court and avoids the flat tarmac (alien concept in my mind as far as parkrun goes), crowds and potential traffic issues at Northala. Anywhere else leaves us a bit tight for time if we're to run, grab a brew and get back for a shower before a midday checkout. Whether MrsCA accepts this line of thinking remains to be seen.

Update expected sometime before Saturday.

Spare socks if it has been wet and I recommend the further away car park from the start - it never gets full and is much less stress than the close one (its about 1k jog warm up :) )

Sorry Linds - nothing personal.

Curly - I find it hard to believe it could be as wet as Fell Foot has been these past few weeks.

But I've not yet been told what i decided so I could still turn up at any of them.
