Ooh, thanks BK - will wait for the colours, he has a habit of taking his off at the end of a run and black sort of disappears into the background.

We had a smudged black one, the company replaced it FOC. Wife's pink one works fine.

That's definitely a wiggly line iRicey.

Commenting on a blog reminded my of my slightly unusual task as marshall on Saturday at Inverness - flattening some molehills on the route.........

Please tell us you were credited as "molehill marshall", Nessie :-).

I did see someone having to shoo a gaggle of geese from the finish at Strathclyde.

I have a handful of potential parkruns near on Saturday and just looking.. .... has anyone run at Shipley Country parkrun? Is it multi-lap? (the course description is quite brief.... "The course is run on a mixture of tarmac, trail and gravel paths.")

TM - Not one that I have visited but this is on strava - might help you.
This is a two lap course with an out and back start/finish. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac, trail and gravel paths. The first lap starts on Lockton Avenue Recreation Ground and heads in a Westerly direction before turning left onto a trail path. This is followed by taking the next left hand turn which leads into the park itself. The runners then head East at the path junction down towards Osborne’s pond. A right hand turn is then taken onto the trim trail. A short sharp hill on a gravel path makes way to a relatively flat gravel path course. At the next path junction, runners take a right turn down towards the visitors centre. This path is followed right round to complete a second lap of the trim trail. At the end of the second lap, the runners branch off to the left path which takes the runners back on to the trail path and up towards Lockton Avenue Recreation Ground. A lap of the rec ground is completed before finishing at the start line.

Please note that that's still the original course description for Shipley Country - the start point has moved quite some way from the recreation ground to near the visitor centre, and the course is now two non-identical laps with parts not on the original map. I haven't run the newest version yet, but expect muddy trails and paths.

If you're on Facebook, the Shipley Country parkrun page has the new map.
