57.5 Degrees of Pain
Inverness is likely to be at Whin Park late Jan. Nice park for kids, easy to leave stuff at the start finish, but probably lots of muddy puddles. Easy walk as you just cross the river then follow it upstream till you can go no further, plus you can drop your stuff at the Palace en route. But your son might not like the extra 1.5 miles!

For a pleasant walk back to the Palace cross the river (at the end of the road from the Leisure Centre) and walk through 'The Islands'. Continue on the riverside, crossing back at the next footbridge.

I've done a quick hack of all the NYD doubles done on Monday - data is as per parkrun so there are some clear mistakes (e.g. Kettering, where they apparently had to enter numbers manually). google.com

Wow.

Having spectated at both Bushy and Crane on Monday I spotted a lot of people doing that particular double - but didn't realise it was 176!! That is insane and more than we usually get at Crane on a normal Saturday. (We did break our attendance record on Monday, to be fair)

Velociraptor
My oldest daughter and her husband may be cutting their parkrun teeth at Keswick on Saturday. I've volunteered to tail walk so that they won't be last (they do run, but don't know how far because they don't use a gadget) and bribed them with the promise of coffee and cake afterwards.
