Rules are different in Scotland.
England: A person commits an offence if— (a)he intentionally exposes his genitals, and (b)he intends that someone will see them and be caused alarm or distress.
Scotland: (1)If a person (“A”)— (a)without another person (“B”) consenting, and (b)without any reasonable belief that B consents, intentionally and for a purpose mentioned in subsection (2), exposes A's genitals in a sexual manner to B with the intention that B will see them, then A commits an offence, to be known as the offence of sexual exposure. (2)The purposes are— (a)obtaining sexual gratification, (b)humiliating, distressing or alarming B.

A quick google doesn't provide me with an obvious trustworthy answer on the law
I too would (and have) peed in a bush (and in fact hubby has I'm sure peed in a bush somewhere in Figgate park). But I wouldn't pee in an alleyway where people could see me, and I certainly wouldn't do it if the parkrun had put out repeated appeals not to

Except most of the public toilets are now closing down forcing us to pretend to be a customer in Starbucks.....
Think I will stick with Cramond as that does have a public toilet that opens at 9am each Saturday.
Last time I did Porty and the time I confess to, I have run there and went by the toilets on London Road on route which were closed which restricted my options somewhat, albeit I didn't know of Bath St which I need to try and locate

Under Scots Law "Urinating or defecating in circumstances causing annoyance to others" is an offence for which fixed penalty notices and fines for anti-social behaviour can be issued. Multiple people peeing regularly in a lane next to your house (as the article suggests - without knowing the geography of the area ) would be annoying I'd think.

I don't know the lane in question as I approach the park from the other side when I have run there. In fact I didn't even know the park existed until Parkrun started. However when I look on the map, it does seem to be a very inappropriate place !
The public toilets look to be c400-600m away as well so accessible but depends on how you get there and from which direction

Absolutely, but TBH, if I need to pee, I reeeeally need to pee.... and I'd probably have to take my chances.
In fact, no, i wouldn't. I'd go to someone's door and see if they would actually let me use their loo!
speaking of which, for the first time at New Year, I noticed a number of mannies peeing along the wall at the bridge of don, Aberdeen parkrun.
