27 within 20 miles!! But I pretty much only go elsewhere when I am away or my home run is cancelled. Done my closest 7 by straight-line distance or 8 by driving time.

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs)
our closest is 2 miles away, we haven't been very often as we like parkrun tourism.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
I enjoy parkrunning when staying with my parents. Roll out of bed, gentle warmup mile to Springburn about 9.15, 5k hard and a few miles around my childhood haunts en route home.
I was the only person at the results processing table in running gear Nessie. Beyond that I'm a skinny, baldy middle aged man which is a common demographic around any running event these days!

I've driven 350 miles for parkrun this week - anybody going to be at Portobello in the morning?
9:30, 9:30, it's 9:30!!

Careful if you use a Satnav Fizz. If you find yourself on a dead end street look for the railway bridge! And with the large numbers they've had recently get there early and find the right starting spot or you'll get slowed down or trampled.

No Portie for me, but I hope you enjoy it I was there in January at a bit of a Fetchie gathering and it was a record 307. Two weeks ago it was 405! I suspect there may have been a lot of Festival tourists who had already done Edinburgh.
If you are driving, I parked in Durham Terr and Stanley St, both south of the park. A few minutes walk but bound to find space, rather than scrabbling. The former has Arthur's Seat at the end, which looks pretty good; the latter has bushes - er, just in case :-p.

I'm off to NZ in October for 3 weeks - has anyone run any of the Auckland parkruns?

PaulaMc, if you end up further south there is a rare NZ inaugural parkrun starting 28th Oct at Palmerston North.
